Whenever I think of Daiquiris the 80′s come to mind. Maybe it’s something about the frozen kind that strikes me as being from that era? Are those marathons of I love the 80′s to blame? Truly no idea.
As seemingly retro as they may be though, one thing is for sure — when made with freshly squeezed lime juice and agave nectar this rummy cocktail is rather delicious and very refreshing, with just enough tang. I’ll drink to that.
Daiquiri
Preparation Time: 1 minute
Makes: 1 cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons or 43 grams) white rum
- 3/4 ounce (1 1/2 tablespoons or 21 grams) lime juice
- 1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon or 14 grams) water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons (10 grams) light agave nectar
- Ice
Instructions
In a cocktail shaker or Mason jar, combine rum through agave. Add a few ice cubes, cover and shake until very well mixed and chilled. Strain into a glass, add a few more cubes of ice and serve.
